Where Are We Now?
We have informed you in our previous announcement on Twitter that we have successfully concluded our smart contract. However, we have successfully completed our final arrangements on art. All we have to do to publish our collection is to add a mint section to our website and then announce the mint day to you. We are very excited to be so close to presenting our geckos to you after a preparation period of about 6 months, this excitement constantly increases our motivation and makes our work pace productive. When we bring our Silly Geckos together with you, what we need to do in the preparation phase will be finished. This ending will also be a new beginning for us. With the completion of the preparation phase, we will only have laid the foundation of our dreams and what we want to achieve. Our vision is not limited to presenting the art of silly and funny geckos to you, but we will show you that there is much more to it over time. What we really want to do is to rise on the foundation that our Silly Geckos have built until the day of mint, and we will witness this together.
As you know, on our roadmap, we announced the things we wanted to do long before. With each passing day, we are getting closer to realizing them. Although we have not shared most of them with you yet, we have already started the work that creates the content of the roadmap. Our work continues very positively. Most of our designs for the Silly Gecko clothing shop have already been created, and we’ve even pre-ordered things specially designed for our team.
We have created the contract for the $CHIRP utility token. Apart from that, we continue to develop and work on the functionality of the Chirp token. We intend to share the $CHIRP token after the release of our collection because we want to listen to and consider requests and ideas from the community in addition to what we have told you. We want the utility token that will be formed at the end to be adopted by everyone and shaped according to the demands of our community.
Silly Gecko Blockchain Game
Apart from all these, we are also working on things that we did not announce to you. One of the founders of our Silly Geckos, Balsy has been working as a game developer in the game development industry for a long time and continues to improve himself about blockchain every day. I too (Vind) have been very interested in 3D modeling extensively in the past years, although I am a bit rusty, I still know what I can do. While presenting the promise of the Geckoverse universe that we have already mentioned in Roadmap, this is exactly where we set off. These days we are discussing whether it is possible for us to develop a Blockchain based Silly Gecko game apart from Geckoverse and other things. We are looking at developing our vision and what we can do in line with this idea. We know what we can do and we are confident, but these may not be enough for our blockchain game, so we are talking to a few old friends who can benefit us in this regard. If our negotiations are positive, we aim to include them in our team for the Silly Gecko Blockchain game and add even more value to our geckos. As we do not want to give you hope or disappointment, we will not share the details of the game in our minds for now. We think we can bring the idea we have in mind to life, but we do not want to excite you more without raising this idea on solid foundations. You can be sure that we will not hesitate to share it with you when our work bears fruit.
Who is the Silly Gecko team and what can they do?
First of all, we are aware that we have not officially announced our real names to you until now, we have not officially presented this to you, but we have never hidden who we are. Many of us already write their real name on their Discord profile. If you’re asking why this is officially announcing until now, we’ve spent all our effort, time, and money developing our geckos since we started, and frankly, we didn’t think an explanation was necessary at all. Since we started working on NFT and Blockchain, the NFT community has grown a lot, and the community where almost everyone knew each other soon became something that everyone knows and wants to join. And of course, this growth brought bad people as well as well-intentioned people. Many people have suffered from various types of carpet pulling, internet scams or various other frauds. We started to think. We understand their past experiences and pain. We are pretty confident that we have not done anything malicious or illegal to date, and we want to be as transparent as possible to you. That’s why we will dedicate one of our next medium articles to the real names of our team and what they do in their lives.
Silly Gecko Community
There were several steps we’ve taken before to grow our community. One of them was the invite competition on our Discord server, the competition is still going on, but it did not give us the efficiency we expected at the moment. We have also taken various steps to be more visible and stand out on Twitter. In the past days, we talked to numerous influencers, listened to what they could do and examined their prices to adjust the advertising budget. Although the interviews we made seemed very positive, we found that most of the influencers with thousands of followers were defrauding people through fake interactions. Before Mint, we thought that we should put the brakes on this issue temporarily, as our budget was quite limited and we wanted to use this limited budget with maximum efficiency. We created an Instagram account to stand out from the crowd and limiting policies of Twitter and reach different people faster. We are now announcing the developments we have made on the Instagram channel.
We’ve added various games to make our Discord server a more fun place. And we’ve added new animated emojis and sweet stickers to add some color to the conversation.
